The inspiration for my sculpture stems from employment in a can factory and the experiences of working on an assembly line. The cans in the factory represented environmental organization on several levels.  Each can was a single, unique form, interesting as a sculptural element in and of itself; flowing by on the assembly line, the cans formed complex patterns; in the warehouse, grouped and stacked, the cans created a sculptural environment of thousands of identical manufactured forms.
